Last week, I was in Bangkok training USAID employees from several countries in the region on the USAID Introduction to the Program Cycle. The Program Cycle is “USAID’s operational model for planning, delivering, assessing, and adapting development programming in a given region or country to achieve more effective and sustainable results in order to advance U.S. foreign policy.” The cycle, essentially, ensures that programs are executed in the most efficient ways possible.
USAID also makes many of its tools available to the public on their Learning Lab website. The Learning Lab is a wonderful resource for USAID employees and implementing partners alike. I find the CLA toolkit particularly helpful as it offers ways to operationalize learning and case studies of successful projects. For implementing partners out there, do you know about the CLA case competition? Read more here!
It was a wonderful week with a wonderful group of people! I am looking forward to the next training!
